oh, I think I have a new word

(yes, it is very slow at work today)

I just came across an old, obscure word that I think is due for a slight update and renaissance: bloviate - "to speak at length in empty, pompous rhetoric".

I propose a modern twist: blogviate. Who doesn't think there's a crying need for this variation?

Bloviate is a great word. I've been hearing it lately in connection iwth the presidential race...

Blogviate is good too.

Hah! Bill O'Reilly uses this word in reference to folks who email opinions into his show; he asks them please not to bloviate. I always wondered what it mean but was too lazy to look it up. Especially since I've caught his show maybe three times in my life.
