Oh, life is wonderful at the moment:

I just paid off my credit card (again)

I'm getting an ARC of Horizon from the Strand, 3 months before the release date (and less than $10)

My brother's visiting his girlfriend at the CIA (cooking school, not spies), and I'll see him tomorrow

And it's only the second day of my week off! (I restrained myself from !s after every line!)

The only downside is that I'm abut to have a grumpy husband, since Rich is out having a root canal right now (his vacation, not going so well)

To continue my recent recap, since I have been so bad at posting recently - Wednesday I had off (because I'm working Saturday), and it turned into "catch up with friends" day. I finally called one friend at work, because she moved and I don't have her new number and was getting no replies to email. She couldn't chat of course, but I did get a number for later. I called Andrea, but she couldn't chat because she was expecting an installation guy, but she gave me the number for yet another friend who had moved and not given me a #.

So I called Aimee out of the blue for the first time in 2 and a half years, and it was like we had talked last week. I love that. She said it was the test of true friendship. And I got to hear her daughter chatting away in the background (which was VERY exciting, as she is autistic and only started talking last month). And now I have one more reason to visit the Atlanta area.
