I guess she realized he did have her best interests in mind.

Oct. 13th, 2006 04:45 pm"Ugly Betty" star America Ferrera on what passes for curves in Hollywood: "I think it's hilarious when magazines call Jessica Alba or Eva Longoria curvy. Come on. They're not curvy, they're small -- I'm curvy!" (from Perez Hilton, via Salon).
That's right - you can't be skinny and curvy - leave one good adjective for us!

OK, I can't find any articles online about this, but Friday we had an event at my branch, run by Verizon, to celebrate DSL coming to the neighborhood. They donated some books to the library, and had someone read to the kids.
James Earl Jones.
So I got to hear him reading The Lion King in person, which was pretty damn cool. I didn't exactly get introduced to him, but he did say Hi to me. Amusing, they asked the kids what was their favorite movie he's ever been in (or been the voice in), and not a one said the Lion King. Unanimously Star Wars. And these were little kids.

Aug. 28th, 2003 10:35 amSo it has been a busy week with my branch finally reopened to the public. All kinds of stuff that really needed to be done beforehand, but wasn't. And I get stuck with all the oh-so-fun jobs, like going through all the files and tossing unneeded stuff, or doing the same with all the information binders we keep behind the desk. But most of it's done now.
And today, the mayor is going to come visit. Which should be interesting.
