It snowed last night, although not enough to paralyze the area.

And I woke up to discover that my car had already been mostly brushed off. My first thought was "awww, how sweet, Rich did my car for me!"

Second thought was, "I wonder if he did that so I'd have less excuse to stay home." There wasn't enough snow to really get away with that anyway, but I had made a joke about it last night when it started snowing. Which got me a dirty look and "don't rub it in."

I found this entry on one of my library-oriented blogs. This may be the most touching commentary on father/daughter (or parent/child) relationships I've ever seen. I think I need to go home and call my dad. And my mom. And my stepdad.

Well, this has been a pretty good day. First, some woman came up to me at work just to say I was amazingly patient with difficult people, and she couldn't do it.

I then I come home, and Rich has brought me flowers for no reason.

I can only feel good about the rest of the week, work seminar and two classes notwithstanding.

You know, it's nice that all I have to do is bring Rich his favorite sandwich, from his favorite deli (in Manhattan, which means food from there is rare for us, now), to hear "You're the best girlfriend in the whole world."
