The AC at work is STILL broken. It is miserable here - 89 degrees, 52 percent humidity last time I checked. Plus, no patrons are coming in anyway, so tell me again why we're open? I hate feeling sweaty and sticky. The branch should close and all the staff should be sent to other branches.

Ick! Why won't whatever company it is that owns the place, fix the AC?

Because, I work for a public library - nonprofit, paid for by taxes. We must wait for the city-approved, low-bid contracters to do whatever they need. plus, I'm pretty sure they're waiting for a part.

That being the case, the city probably has a long list of other projects that may grind things to a halt. By the time they get around to actually fixing the AC, it'll be winter. They'll deem it no longer a valid project and move it to the bottom of the list. :P
