Cascading downwards

I need my friends to periodically remind me: no matter how cute the new shoes, and how much you want to wear them, if they are open-toe, you cannot wear them when the forecast is rain.

That was not comfy.

So I went into the city and did some shopping today. I restrained myself, and bought nothing but a single bra (for t-shirts).

I wanted to buy shoes, but I went to my favorite store (Aerosoles), and everything is mules. I hate mules. I don't understand how people can walk in them. They drive me nuts. I like shoes with backs, even just slingbacks. I've been waiting for the mules to go out of style for 3 years now, and I'm getting impatient. I can't be the only one who wants to wear real shoes instead of high-class flip-flops.

Can you tell this is a pet peeve?
